Inside Sales Representative/Customer Service

Description:

Work in a professional environment with an established and growing industrial distribution company.  Our company specializes in the distribution of a variety of filtration, instrumentation, automation, process, and other fluid power products.  Our Inside Sales team is responsible for overall customer care and acting as a liaison in problem solving research and dispute resolution.  Each member of our team is responsible for providing call resolution to customers and suppliers, and establishing customer satisfaction and loyalty.  Our Inside Sales Representatives provide entry-level customer care and handle transactional front-line service requests. These requests my be either by phone, email or fax, and include taking and keying orders, providing quotes, researching item availability requests, answering pricing questions, entering returns and credits, and ordering replenishment parts.

What is expected of you for success in your role
Demonstrate basic knowledge of business practices and procedures, products, services and computer operating systems
Able to take and processes orders by telephone, email, and fax
Provides order status and pricing information to customers

Provides technical specification and recommendations

Works with suppliers and other vendors in order to help meet the customers needs
Identifies routine problems
Understands basic problem escalation procedures
Understands and differentiates basic products and services to meet customer requirements

Accountabilities in this role
Provides Customer Service assistance in an inbound & outbound center
Effectively communicate verbally and in written format (email and faxes)
Enjoy working in a team environment

Must be self motivated and able to multi-task

Qualifications
Extensive phone communication experience in a Customer Service environment

Strong technical and/or engineering experience in an industrial environment desired

Some purchasing, sourcing, or replenishment experience preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office to include Word, Excel and Outlook required
High School Diploma or GED required
