Gas Analyzers & Analysis Systems |
|
For analyzing gases
we offer an extensive range of gas analyzers and analysis systems.
Adaptation to different system conditions or solutions for complex measuring
tasks – we have the answer: in-situ and extractive measuring technology for
installation in complete systems. In-Situ Measurement: The in-situ analyzers are available in
two versions: cross-duct and analyzers with a
measuring probe for installation from one side.
This enables the devices to be adapted efficiently to a
wide variety of different system configurations. The
in-situ technology is characterized by low maintenance
requirements and very short response times by direct
measurement in the gas duct. Extractive Measurement:
Our extractive gas analyzers are
suitable for a broad range of applications. They can be
extended by numerous external system components to form
a complete analysis system. This enables the analyzers
to be adapted specifically to your measuring task. The task-specific adaptation of the systems is the
main advantage of the extractive
measurement.

Flow
Measurement |
|
With diverse volume
flow measuring devices SICK MAIHAK provides solutions for a wide variety of
measuring tasks - from calculating volume flows in process analysis to
environmental monitoring applications and also exhaust gas volume
measurement for the automotive industry.
Operating principle:
Ultrasonic transducers are mounted on both sides of the gas duct at a
certain angle to the direction of flow. These transducers alternately
transmit and receive sound pulses with and against the flow direction.
FLOWSIC measures the propagation time delay of the pulses and uses this to
calculate the velocity of the gas and determine the volume flow during
operation.

FLOWSIC 100
Volume Flow Measuring Devices
The transit time
of an ultrasonic pulse between two transducers is measured. The
transducers are mounted at both sides of a duct at a certain angle to
the gas flow. Each transducer operates alternately as a transmitter and
a receiver. he gas velocity will affect the transit time of a pulse
travelling along the path between the two transducers. In the forward
direction, the transit time (tf) is shorter than in the opposite
direction (tr). The difference between the transit times is used to
measure the gas velocity in the path.

Ultrasonic
Measurement System for Measuring Exhaust Gas Volume Flow Rate in
Automotive Industry. The transit time of an ultrasonic pulse between two
transducers is measured on 1 or 3 measuring paths. The transducers of an
individual path are mounted at both sides of a pipe at a certain angle
to the gas flow. Each transducer operates intermittently as a
transmitter and a receiver. The gas velocity will affect the transit
time of a pulse traveling along a path between two transducers. In the
forward direction, the transit time (tv) is shorter than that in the
opposite direction (tr). The difference between the transit times is
used to measure the gas velocity in the path. Using the 3-path
configuration, the measurement is largely independent of the flow
profile and installation conditions.
