Rotary Level Indicators |
|
Rotary level
indicators are proven, widely used devices for point level detection and
suitable for a wide range of powder and bulk solid materials. BinMaster
rotaries feature a specialized motor design with “de-energized” operation,
shutting down the motor when material is present, prolonging motor life and
saving energy. A triple-thread, screw-off lid offers easy access to
components and dual-conduit entries allow for simple installation. With
options like “fail-safe” protection alerting to loss of power and models for
hazardous locations, BinMaster rotaries are best-in-class for the industry.

 |
BMRX
The BMRX rotary
paddle is BinMaster’s most popular rotary level indicator, featuring a
basic reliable and rugged design that provides for simple, dependable
operation. The BMRX rotary is a proven technology used to prevent bin
overflows and is used as a high or low level control for a wide variety
of bulk solid materials including granulars, pellets or powders –
providing alerts when a bin reaches a full or empty condition. |
 |
Maxima+
The Maxima+ is
BinMaster’s most advanced rotary level indicator. Microprocessor-based,
it offers genuine fail-safe protection. The distinguishing feature is
its ability to continuously self-diagnose, and in the event of a failure
– whether power, the motor or electronics – provide an immediate alert
via a red LED indicator on the top of the unit. The MAXIMA+ is the
rotary of choice when continuous operation of the unit is crucial. |
|
 |
Vertical
Rotary Extension
Top-of-bin mounting
for rotaries is ideal when the rotary is used as a high level alarm.
Solid material will tend to be higher at the filling point and most
operators don’t want any bin filled to the very top and need to allow
for a specified amount of headroom in the bin. For top-of-bin
applications, BinMaster manufactures to the length requested by the
customer, offering custom lengths up to 144”. |
 |
Horizontal
Rotary Extension
The horizontal
rotary extension provides the ability to install a rotary on the side of
a bin wall,
such as those in concrete silos, up to 12” thick. This extension design
allows for rotaries to be side-mounted with minimal risk of damage
during operations. This optional assembly includes an extended drive
shaft with a protective shaft guard that keeps the shaft centered and
BinMaster’s “no packing” seal at the end of the shaft. Standard lengths
of 6”, 8”, 10”, or 12” are available for both the MAXIMA+ or BMRX
rotaries. |
|
 |
SS Process
Connection for Corrosive
BinMaster’s optional
stainless steel process connection was designed for corrosive
applications and can be used in conjunction with either the BMRX or
MAXIMA+ rotary. The 304 SS solid stainless steel fitting is available in
both 1-1/4” and 1-1/2” NPT sizes and comes with a stainless steel
seal/bearing carrier. Rotaries equipped with this connection are
configured so all materials that come into contact with the bin are
stainless steel, making it ideal for applications such as food
processing or in caustic materials. |
 |
Heat Tubes
for High Temperature
When the external
temperature outside the bin exceeds 140°F (60°C), an optional heat tube
can be added to distance the electronics of the unit away from a heat
source. They can also be used to extend the rotary beyond insulation on
the outside of the bin. Heat tubes can be used for top or side mounted
applications with either the BMRX or MAXIMA+. They are available in 8”
or 12” lengths in either aluminum or stainless steel.

|
 |
Mini Rotary
The Mini-Rotary is
an economical, compact rotary level control that has been designed for
use in small bins and hoppers. Its small size allows the Mini-Rotary to

control. It is simple to install and use in a variety of materials
including plastics, feed, seed, chemicals and other powder or bulk
materials. |

Pressure / Diaphragm Switches |
|
A diaphragm switch
provides simple, low-cost, automatic level indication of free flowing dry
materials such as grain, feed, seed and other granular or pelleted
materials. It operates by sensing material pressing against the diaphragm
and activating a visual or audible alarm to start or stop a process or alert
to high, medium or low levels in bins. BinMaster offers models for hazardous
and non-hazardous environments, internal or external mounting, and either
neoprene or silicone diaphragm covers.

pressure switch that provides simple, low cost point level control with
proven, lasting reliability. It is designed for use in bins containing
non-hazardous, free-flowing dry materials such as grain, feed, seed or
other granular or pelleted materials. The BM45 operates by sensing
material pressing against the diaphragm switch. When the switch is
pressed, it activates a sensitive micro-switch that can be wired to a
visual (light) or audible (horn or bell) alarm to start or stop a
process or alert to high, medium or low levels in bins.

Vibrating
Rods |
|
With a unique
single-rod probe design and a sword-shaped blade that prevents bridging of
material, BinMaster vibrating rods are superior to typical “tuning fork”
designs by allowing material to easily Ḁow by, preventing build up on the
blade. BinMaster’s standard 7-inch piezoelectric driven vibration type point
level switch is suitable for both top and side mount applications, while
rigid extended models can be custom built up to 13 feet of either galvanized

between 240°F and 500°F. The high temperature model is configured with
additional components that when installed properly, will safely operate
in temperatures up to 500°F. A stainless steel standpipe is used to
extend the remote away from the heat source and a stainless steel pipe
extension fitted with a Teflon cable guide keeps the sensor probe out of
the standpipe and level with the top of the bin. A standard air purge
