Safety Solutions
ASCO solenoid pilot valves are an integral part of the final control
element for any safety instrumented system (SIS) or critical
application. ASCO offers 3 solenoid pilot valve solutions that are
widely used in the process control industry; individual 3-way pilot
valves, manual reset valves, and redundant pilot valve systems. Each of
these solutions are proven in use as a pilot valve in critical
applications and in safety instrumented systems. Certified pilot valves
per IEC 61508 Parts 1 and 2 are rated SIL 3 capable for domestic and
international markets (ATEX). ASCO understands the need to keep your
process running, but also understands that the process must shut down
when commanded.

Condensate Drain Valve Assemblies
Compressed air is used extensively in manufacturing and other processes
to power various pneumatic equipment. When air is compressed, the
temperature can typically rise to over 400°F. As the air in the system
begins to cool, condensate is formed. This condensate, if not drained
properly, will damage equipment and decrease the overall efficiency of
your compressed air system. ASCO condensate drain valve assemblies are
designed to effectively drain excess condensate from receiver tanks
,pre-filters, separators, air dryers, and drip legs. By utilizing ASCO's
proven solenoid and piloted piston valves, condensate drain valve
assemblies will enhance the reliability and extend the life of your
compressed air system.

Redundant Control System (RCS)
The Redundant Control System (RCS)
is the only pilot valve system that has no single point of failure that
could result in an unwanted closure of the process valve. The Redundant
Control System is FM certified as fit for use in SIL 3 applications with
a spurious trip rate that is lower then Tri-Modular Redundant logic
solvers. RCS achieves a higher level of process safety and reliability
by using a redundant, fault tolerant architecture, high diagnostic
coverage and automated testing. A keyed bypass allows on-line
maintenance of the RCS without process interruption. The RCS is
available in a variety of constructions that provide valve diagnostics
through automated, partial stroke testing. The availability and
reliability of RCS make it the most cost effective choice for process
valve diagnostics and actuation.
